PARLOUR GUITAR

My parlour guitar design is inspired by the work of great 19th century European luthiers such as Panormo and Lacote. Although this small bodied guitar is designed to be enjoyed within the confines of the home, she has a surprisingly big voice and wants to sing out loud! Click here for Phil Hare's demonstration of a steel-string model.

You can also see a series of YouTube videos on the design and construction of this beautiful little instrument.

The parlour guitar has a short, 625mm scale length and can be built to accommodate either steel or nylon strings. A cutaway version is also available.
